Best Lawyers ยฎ โ€“ Lawyer of the Year 2020 and 2026

Paula Greisen has been recognized as a Colorado Best Lawyers ยฎ for decades and was awarded โ€œLawyer of the Yearโ€ in Plaintiffโ€™s Employment and Civil Rights in 2020 and 2026.

Best Lawyers ยฎ is an entirely peer-review publication that recognizes the top 5% of U.S. lawyers and 3% globally for merit-based legal distinction.ย  The honors are based on over 13 million confidential evaluations on an annual basis, determined by โ€œthe consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.โ€

LGBTQ Bar Association Ally of the Year 2018 Award

Paula Greisen and the ACLU were presented this award for their work on the Masterpiece Cakeshop case. Coloradoโ€™s own Charlie Craig and David Mullins, the plaintiffs in the Masterpiece case, presented the awards at the ceremony, expressing their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the legal teamโ€™s work on this important case.

The Colorado LGBT Bar Associationโ€™s Ally of the Year award is given to honor individuals whose work has helped advance the rights and representation of LGBT+ Coloradans.

ACLU Edward Sherman Award Recipient

The ACLU of Colorado awarded Paula Greisen the Edward Sherman Award for Outstanding Legal Work on Behalf of Further Civil Liberties in Colorado.

The award was given to Paula for her work representing thousands of people with disabilities in the Colorado state prison system.ย  The case resulted in a landmark Consent Decree that ensured the prisons would provide equal access to programs and services and became the model for other prisons nationwide.
